Singing Lessons
Learning how to sing can be a joy provided you know what you're doing. And that's why I'm here to help guide you with my knowledge, experience and wisdom and how to work the human voice!
To sing well, one requires a solid, reliable singing technique or foundation that works every time, while also remaining relaxed and secure. Commercial or modern- day, professional singing requires the ability to express creative, musical ideas through using your voice and body correctly and in anatomical harmony. To make this balance possible requires an understanding of air, physical movement and vibration- through musical, technical form and emotion. The body is then transformed into its own instrument just like a cello that sings when played well. I am here to show you how to do that but with fun, relaxation and patience and with good technique! Here are just some of the things we can work together on:
 |
- relaxation and warm-up exercises
- resonance technique
- articulation and dynamics
- ear training
- improvisation and creative singing
- basic music theory
- microphone and vocal recording technique
- harmony and background singing

Drum Lessons
I studied the drums with the great Tony Williams and later went out on the road with him and his band as a drum and band technician. I have played in drum duo's with my uncle, Art Taylor he, who recorded over 250 records with prominent jazz and be-bop musicians. This experience led me to the following conclusion: Perfect technique together with the implementation of relaxed motion and intention (and of course, understanding of the music
), led each of them to their individual creative genius and musical success.
Here's what I can help you with to attain your personal drumming, musical goals:

Drummer's Workshop |
- the technique of stick lifting- matched and traditional grip
- daily rudiments
- drumset warm-up exercises

|
In addition to private drum lessons, I give drum workshops for my students and those interested 3-4 times per year.

Electric Bass Lessons
The best advice I can give on how to play a great bass line is to try to think in musical phrases, grooves and patterns like stories or pictures. Together with good technique, ear training and instrument recognition, one can achieve a mastery of the instrument. After all, a great bass line is not only heard it is felt!
